Training on “Applications of Qualitative Data Analysis Methods” took place from June to August 2022
KTU FSSAH Data Analysis and Archiving (DAtA) Centre carried out 40 academic hours of methodological training “Applications of Qualitative Data Analysis Methods” in June-August 2022, which was conducted by Kaunas University of Technology scientists Dr. Eglė Butkevičienė, Dr. Gintautas Cibulskas, Dr. Jurgita Jurkevičienė, Dr. Vaidas Morkevičius, Dr. Raminta Pučėtaitė, doctoral student Vilma Sukackė, Dr. Audronė Telešienė.
The aim of the course was to provide the participants with the knowledge and to develop skills to apply qualitative data analysis methods in practice. The course develops skills to properly select and combine different types and methods of qualitative research, develops skills to create coding schemes, qualitative research instruments, prepare research protocols and reports, develops software application skills (eg MAXQDA), skills to perform systematic literature analysis, qualitative comparative analysis, content analysis, analysis of social networks and media in accordance with the ethical and data protection requirements.
The training was aimed at a targeted group of staff from the National Education Agency and the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
The training was carried out within the project implemented by the National Education Agency “Expansion of Information Systems and Registers for Vocational Training and Lifelong Learning” (project code 09.4.1-ESFA-V-713-02-0001), which is financed by the European Union Structural Funds.
