Methodological training “Qualitative data analysis with MAXQDA: Introductory level”
Level: Introductory
Training will be delivered by Vilma Sukackė (Kaunas University of Technology).
The development of information technology is changing not only the possibilities of quantitative but also qualitative methods of social research. Modern software helps researchers to conduct qualitative research to gather information and data, transcribe video and audio recordings, systematize and analyze a vast variety of collected material (e.g. textual, visual and audio). One of the main such software packages is MAXQDA, which is not only extremely easy to use (what sets it apart from other qualitative data analysis software packages), but also provides opportunities to integrate quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and present analysis results in various ways. This training is intended for researchers who want to start working with the MAXQDA qualitative data analysis software (more information at www.maxqda.com). This software is used by researchers and governmental, business or non-governmental organizations in research in different fields around the world. The training is interactive and develops practical skills. After completing the training, you can start working with MAXQDA independently.
Duration of training is 8 acad. hours. Training will be done in English.
Participants must have installed the MAXQDA 2020 software in advance (https://www.maxqda.com/trial).
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, methodological training will take place online:
January 21 (Thursday) 15:00 – 18:30
